NATIONAL GRIEF & BEREAVEMENT DAY

Join BFO-Kingston on Tuesday, November 18th for a special event for National Grief & Bereavement Day. Taking place at Providence Village (1200 Princess St.) Doors open at 6pm, program starts at 6:30pm. The first part of the evening includes Guest Speaker Tamara Spearing from the Gwen Effect Podcast as well as memorial activities. Starting at 7:30pm, participants will have the opportunity to join a variety of different grief groups, learning topics and self-care strategy sessions.  Bereaved Families of Ontario – Kingston Region continues to offer both group and one-to-one peer support with phone conversations, video conferencing or in-person. Please call or email for more information or to register.

 

The office is open most days between 9:30am and 12:30pm, but we suggest calling ahead to ensure someone is there before arriving. Phone and email continue to be the most reliable way to contact us; every effort is made to reply to voicemails and emails within two business days.

Who We Are
If you are visiting this website, chances are someone important/special to you has died or you are preparing for a death. We are a supportive community who understands grief. We have all been there. We hope you will find that these pages are a comfort and a place to remember those we love, as well as a resource for information about BFO – Kingston Region’s programs and services. We believe that when bereaved families come together to support one another, they can influence the growth of a healing and caring community.
Our Mission
We are Bereaved Families of Ontario – Kingston Region. We provide programs, services and resources based on a mutual support model to individuals, families, children, groups and communities. We are the bereaved helping the bereaved learn to live with grief. We can help the healing begin.
