Membership

Bereaved Families of Ontario – Kingston Region is an association of families who have lost a loved-one through death and it is our mission to ensure that every individual grieving death has access to caring, empathetic, and compassionate support in a safe and confidential environment. We have been serving the needs of the bereaved community since 1989 with self-help mutual-support programs that offer bereaved individuals and their families the opportunity to explore the reality of their loss and the encouragement and ability to reinvest in life.

All of our bereavement support services and programs are provided free of charge.

As a registered charitable organization, we do not receive any government funding and rely solely on memberships, grants, and fundraisers to facilitate our Monthly Support Groups, One-On-One Peer Facilitation Sessions, Closed Groups, In-School Teen-Grief Programs, and yearly Holiday Evenings of Remembrance.

As a caring member of our community, we invite you to join us in supporting the bereaved during their most difficult time of need by becoming a member of our organization. For your convenience, we offer 4 levels of sponsorship with related benefits (which are outlined in the attached Membership Application Form).
